Hey Guys...New to the forum and the 6.8 spc. Got a Question, I have a Bushmaster 6.8 spc upper with 1-11 twist 16" barrel CAR length that i'm going to hunt whitetails with. I've just started shoot today with Hornady bthp 110 grain and some Hornady 110 grain V-Max. The both grouped great but the bthp cases have a dent in the brass. Anyone tell me why. the VMax brass is fine just the bthp. Thanks Great Forum....

I have always wondered where the line is as to "too" deep. I wouldn't call them dents, more like dings.

What about this? This is a round I caught before loading into the mag. This is brand new SSA bulk 115 OTM. Only one like this, but I have never seen factory ammo like this. Maybe because I usually only bought 20 rds at a time. Think quality control should have caught it or par for the course?

I also had 2 bushmasters that did the same thing. Bushmaster recommended that I take the ejector spring and cut off half a curl to solve the prob. Since it was new I just sent it back to them and it came back shooting fine. Also had a 5.56 that did the same but it smoothed out after about 100 rds. Maybe it's just a weird Bushmaster thing?
