The forend came yesterday, finally got this put together last night. I need some glass, and leaning towards an AP mount. The Phase5 Tactical bolt catch and Battlelink Minimalist stock is inbound. Happy how everything fit, glad I ventured into the 80% arena. Feels much lighter than the 18".
Parts list:
Lower
JMT 80% FDE
Magpul MOE+ grip FDE
DPMS lpkt
Larue Tactical MBT-2 fcg
6 pos mil spec buffer tube
CMMG 308 carbine action spring and buffer
Battlelink Minimalist stock FDE (inbound)
Phase5 Tactical ebrv2-308 bolt catch (inbound)
Seekins Precision extended mag rel button
(Vltor Emod stock from off one of my 68's for now...)
Upper
AP M5 receiver
X-Caliber 16" barrel
Ruger precision 30 MD
Wilson Combat adj gas block/tube
Toolcraft NiBo bcg
BCM Gunfighter mod4 ch
OdinWorks 12.5 keymod forend FDE
Now to get this thing running like it should.

Thanks gents, definitely a fun way to spend time, as I've caught the 308 bug. Good luck and have fun on your projects, crayj. You can never have just one

That is beautiful, you got to try those 130 Mk 319 SOST rounds for stopping hogzilla.

The titanium muzzle brake looks like it was designed just for that barrel, sweet.

What's the final weight, less scope? Bet it is under 8 pounds, into AR 15 territory at 7 pounds????

You going to love that NiB Toolcraft BCG, cleans up so quick.

I know I've said I'm leaning more towards an aluminum 80% project but you sure make those poly lowers look good!

Thanks bsr, your posts have helped me a lot in choosing components. The Battlelink stock came in and she weighs in at 7.5 #.
I'd like to try milling some aluminum too sometime awp101, thanks.
