Hey All,

Got to the range and got to shoot my WOA 6.8 upper with some SSA factory ammo. Thought I would share some pics:

First group is 110 Accubonds at 200yards. Spotter is 1.5", which is right at what the group is too.

Next shot is 110 PH TL rounds at 200 yards. 3 are into .718" and 4 go into 1.373"

Gotta try some of my VMAX and PH reloads next, but very happy w/ the barrel so far.

Congrats on getting your new gun out for a spin. There is always something so satisfing as the first time you get her dirty.

You have a good starting point. May I suggest you try shooting some 10 shot groups as that will really show what its grouping like. You seem to be getting vertical stringing but you need to shoot larger number of shots per group. 3 shot groups are really only good for development work IMO. That 200 yard group does show some real potential with factory ammo. I am intersted to see how the vmax work. They tend to ruin most peoepls shooting days.

Tim,

I would love to shoot a 10 shot group, but at the Accubond price hmmmm..... maybe not. I am going to try some
when I get the right reload done up. I had hoped that the VMAX's would do it. If I get a good one I will share.

But 10 shots is where its at. I always used 10 shot groups for Highpower after I worked up a promising recipe
with 5 shot groups. But, again .223 is cheaper than 6.8.

As far a vertical stringing I'm not sure yet, I only had 4 rounds left and the first loaded from an open bolt was the
low shot and the next 3 went into the .718" group. I usually use a sled. So maybe the different loading
caused the low shot. Not sure...

Oops, I misread the quoted reply...I am waiting for my WOA barrel.

Mine is a 6mm WOA. The guesstimante was 12-18 weeks. We ended the 12th week today. I am
having to muster all of my discipline, to keep the anxiety in check :D

I had the same issue with my upper order from them.

Originally they quoted me 2 weeks. They kept telling me next week to the point of delirium. 2 months passed and finally they got tired of me and just shipped all the upper parts minus the receiver and took it off the overall price.
This was before the election hooplah.
Great guys and great offerings but they wanted to build it thier way and not my way.

Tim_W took the job on instead and built a much better upper than I could have ever received elsewhere.... my impatience paid off ;)

Those are some damn fine groups there! I'm a little feeling a little insecure about posting my groupings on my 18" WOA after seeing yours! Nice work.
I saw your post on your reloads and your groups from your 18" looked pretty good to me. Happy w/ the barrel.

BTW, i did get out and shoot a 10 shot group the other day w/ a weird quartering tailwind that kept
switching side to side and it measured 3.2" at 200yrds. Forgot my camera though. Need to try it again
on a calmer morning and w/ my Jewel triggered lower and see if it gets better.
