Well I was lucky this past Friday and tried out the 110 gr. V-Max round on a Whitetail. Like the Boar a couple of weeks ago the bullet did the job. It blew up his heart and the deer only went 10 yards after the shot.
Like the Boar there was no exit wound. I am a bit concerned about pulling a shot into the shoulder area and loosing a deer because the bullet fragments upon hitting the shoulder. Has anyone experienced this?
I have some soft points that I am going to try next. My son was out at the ranch yesterday and had a quick kill on a Bobcat with an SSA soft point.
