For me, it is Heat, no question.

Others I enjoy include:

The Professional
Donnie Brasco
Tombstone

and lastly Tears of the Sun was decent as well.

For the bad guys, Heat hands down.
Carlito's Way
Reservoir Dogs

Saving Private Ryan for the good guys.

SciFi -
Fifth Element
Aliens
Predator
They're all cheesy now, but way back, they were the shite!

And Tropic Thunder to laugh. I can't stand Stiller, but he is damn funny in TT.

Team America for puppets

Heat is OK...The Professional was entertaining...

But as die hard Garand collector and C&R buff...

Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan.

For pistol work...Collateral

Band of Brothers takes the cake! No contest! :a04:

But for just regular movies:

1st, 2nd and third place: The Bourne Series
4th place: V for Vendetta
5th place: Shooter

Honerable Mention:
Saving Private Ryan, The Hunt for Red October, Eraser, The Rock, Terminator 1&2, True Lies, The Hunt for Red October, Gran Torino, and of course HEAT.

I think for pure story and action, Heat is pretty damn good.

I forgot about Blackhawk Down. Also a great movie.

Lord of War is ok, I dont know, I thought it could have been better.

Taken, not bad either!

Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers for damn sure....
Unforgiven
The Cowboys!
Heat...
The Bourne Trilogy (although most of that was centered around hand to hand, it mostly involved a firearm and tactical precision)
Taken
Open Range!
Full Metal Jacket
Smokin Aces
Jeremiah Johnson
Appaloosa (8 Guage represented)
Lonesome Dove
Dirty Dozen
El Dorado
Man on Fire

There are alot of good ones out there... But the WWII era Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers all felt so real... My favorites.

Blackhawk Down
Tears of the Sun
Quigley, Down Under - not so much action but what a man with a good rifle can do.

Heat was good, especially the lack of bottomless mags.

Saving Pvt. Ryan
Enemy at the Gates - good Mosin-Nagant vs. Mauser scenes, too much fluff in the middle though.
Shooter would have been ok, but they bastardized the story - the book (Point of Impact) is much better. All of the Bob Lee Swagger books by Stephen Hunter are good reads, BTW).

Just about anything with John Milius involved, strong 2nd A supporter and goes out of his way to portray firearms use as realistically as possible.

Predator would've been good, but not even Jesse Ventura could hump a mini-gun and batteries, let alone the ammo to feed it, through the jungle like that.
