I've searched and can't figure it out. From what I gathered, a recon profile just sounds like a midweight profile. I'm probably wrong on this too. Just trying to figure out what the Xtreme barrel is going to look like.
Thanks,

A recon/medium profile is generally .740-.760" under the handguards. It is basically in between the government profile and the SPR Profile. It is my favorite profile because it isn't as heavy as the SPR profile, but not as thin as the Government profile.

So is it also .740-.750 from the gas block to the muzzle device? or is that where the light comes is as described in the Extreme upper? Or did I completely misread this and it's a standard recon profile as described above?

From the gas block forward it is .750" and sometimes steps down to .740" or .730". But under the hadguards, it is generally .740"-.760". Each manufacturer has their own specs, so they will vary slightly.

The Xtreme barrels are like the lighweight Kotonics barrels, .700 under the guard, .750 gas block and .600 from the gas block to the muzzle.
The Mk68 Recons will be .760 under the guard and .600 from the guard to the muzzle because these same barrels may be used on the AR1 piston rifle
The Mk68 SAM-R barrels are .840 under the guard and .730 from the gas block to the muzzle.
