We have the beretta and now the coast guard has the sig. Specials use hk.
But what guns do we need? In the coast guard i believe we need ump45 instead of m16. I believe we need usp 45 instead of sig 229. We also have rem 870 police magnums for shotguns and those are fine with me. Of course i would rather have the benelli m4 but thats just me.

what do you guys want in your services?

I prefer the Glock31 myself, but my dept std issue is a Glock22 ......... Rem 870 Police on the dash and AR15 .223 in the trunk. The issue is always the fear of "over penetration" and the innocent bystanders being hit. Some areas of LE don't seem to have over penetration factor in as much as others. I would prefer that all of our LEOs have more than enough firepower to handle most any situation, mainly for their own protection and that of innocent bystanders, but I also understand why they don't.

In a perfect world, I would like to see something along the lines of a 357SIG or10mm for carry, an M4 for business, an MP-5 for CQC and an AR in .308 or 6.8 for tactical ........... or even a .50 Beowulf in the trunk if you need one shot to stop a vehicle, a boat, an elephant, etc. - but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

All day baby!!!!!

Glock 21sf unless you went the FN route and got 2 rounds more. But I would still put my trust in the big "G"

Only thing with Glocks is I'd prefer they had impact buffers so the slide wouldn't impact the frame so hard (I bought a recoil buffer from Sprinco and modified it to adress this purpose, just a simple rubber bushing about 1/16" in the right place). I have that issue with any polymer frame pistol being that the most only have a metal insert that takes the battering from the slide and could wear more than ideally over time (and the Glock particularly with the thin slide makes me worry as well).

Just as in law enforcement (if you work in a good dept) or anyone with a CCW, I believe that there should be several choices for a sidearm, with the exception of caliber. Some people needs a smaller grip size or different grip angle to shoot the weapon properly.

As far as rifles goes, I believe that a 16 inch M4 style 6.8 would be about perfect for general issue. If I was on a boat, Give me something bigger, like at least an M14 so I can reach out and touch something.

Actually, I think that I will take a Ma duce with a large supply of ammo.

I guess that I am lucky. My department lets me carry almost anything I can qualify with.

My duty is a Glock 20SF with double tap 10mm full power 165gr.
Back up is a Kel-Tec p11 9mm with Goldensaber +p

My patrol rifle will be 6.8 with AR performance upper and spikes tactical lower, and free float T9 forarm.

I have a mossy 500 for now but plan on building a saiga 12.

I also have permission to carry my cetme if I qualify with it.

I also plan on getting a witness 10mm and carrying it once I put it through its paces and do a few upgrades.

I also have a glock 22 just in case I ever go to a department that doesn't know the difference between a 22 air rifle and 22 long rifle.

10mm because if you miss with the projectile you can still evaporate them with the shock wave.:a01:

Yea my cetme is a CIA unfortunatly. I need to get some oversized rollers for it but other than that it is a good gun. At least they didn't grind the bolt to fix the head space on mine. I did modify the mag catch though. I rounded and polished the bottom edge of it so it would quit digging into the aluminum g3 mags. now they go in smooth and lock up tight.

I want to put a flash hider on it apparently mine is a post ban model.

I got mine new this year. Since they're getting more money for them now, they're putting more effort into them. It's mag well is also crooked, so the mags don't drop. Also, I ended up having to put a new bolt and locking piece in mine to get it to spec. It had the original BCG from the 1960s from the looks of it. No bolt gap at all. Now it's rockin!

I have a set of oversized rollers and a flash suppressor sitting around doing nothing. You want them?
