The prices listed online is not what you will be charged.
Some of their parts are 30% higher than what is listed. Seems like that should be illegal to me.
I buy some small parts like port doors and pins from these guys when I can't find them through wholesale channels.

That is BS.... whatever price is on the website should be the price you pay

They also do not inform you what shipping charges will be at the time you place an order online.

You don't find out until delivery is made and it's already been charged to your card.

Harrison,

Report the overcharge to your CC company. Print out the online web page with prices shown and a copy of your actual bill. The CC will investigate and if you supply the paperwork requested...will rule in your favor and refund the overcharge. I have gone through the process multiple times and they have always ruled in my favor.

The parts that I got were some tools that I couldn't find else where. I didn't pay that much barrel nut wrench, pivot pin tool, and a reciever block. I had a order in to them a long time ago for an upper then found out there specs and cancelled it. I am not going to buy from them again.

The thing that concerned me about their upper displays is all the SBR uppers and no posted warning to customers about NFA rules. Maybe they do something at checkout, but you'd think they'd want to inform customers at the display that these uppers will require a pistol lower or SBR registered receiver. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've watched their booths over time and it just concerns me that customers could be misled even by accident during a busy gun show.

HA, so you have seen all those uppers, inverted on the wooden dowls too then? I always laugh at guys eye balling the SBR uppers and thought the same thing!

They had one of the first 6.8s out for sale... too bad they didnt get it right off the bat and help the cause early.

Port doors, pins, forward assist and all those little parts are made by DOD contractors that sell their over-runs, there is no reason for any aftermarket company to try to compete with companies that make those parts by the tens of thousands, there is no money in it.
Their low quality uppers stem from their specs. on the parts they have made and who makes them, and their business practices. They know nothing about firearms they are just selling parts, it might as well be cheap bicycles.

Yea I have seen the tree-o-uppers also thought it was kind of funny. I almost bought a bolt from them but asked who the Manu was and they came back with some name that I have never heard of so I just stuck with the tools. But while I was there they sold 2 uppers to people and there were several others that were all around the table.
Sad to see them raking it in like that.
One good thing was when I told another table about Model 1's price on the bolts he came off his price so I got a cmt bolt for less. :D
I never made the connection on the sbr's though. That is sad that they would mislead like that.

rangersales.com is very similar if not identical... especially with the "secret shipping" bs... dispute the charge with the cc company and they will issue a temporary credit...then just go thru the steps and fill out the affidavit when it comes and fax it back asap.... washington mutual is really good at doing this for me... just be sure to tell them that your attempts to resolve with the merchant were futile...
