Well, here is pretty good review with pics. Mine still isn't here yet (#22 on SWFA preorder list) but saw this review.
I have never actually used a red dot....What do you guys think? Red doesn't seem very bright...

Opinions?

Here's apparently a "quirk" in the new redot.

I am not sure if I am going to wait now. I have played with UltraDots in the store and they seem to have a bullet proof rep. Either that or maybe cough up the difference for an EOTech. Or do I just want too much for a $150 optic? (Ultradot is in the same price range).
Personally, if I were you, I'd save up the extra and get the EoTech.

Unfortunately for me, when I got my EoTech I discovered I have an astigmatism. And it distorts the holographic reticle. It disappears when I put my glasses on but that was never the reason for getting the glasses in the first place and I REARLY where them. But I sure do like and am very glad I got myself an EoTech. Just wish they weren;t so expensive.

I'd also add that with the magnifier it helps dramatically reduce the effects my astigmatism has on the reticle.

But if you can, save and get yourself an EoTech.
here is an alternative that has good reviews.

I think Kerry owns the PA model as well and can add his opinions as well.

unfortunately the PA's are mostly out of stock I have seriously considered one of their T1 look alikes until I can afford the real deal
