I have never owned a USO scope, but have done some looking through the 3-17 SN3, and a fixed 10X version. The optical clarity is fantastic, I really saw a difference between it and my Luepold. They are built like tanks. Someday I hope to pick up an SN3 for my bolt gun.
?I have used one for a wile. I love this scope as a general hunting rig. I wold go with a Mil-Dot reticle and 1. MILRAD elev and windage adjustments. Not to big on the Illum option and parallax fixed at 300yds. No need for a side focus or a OBJ bell housing.
Going with the Mil-Dot it will be usable for holds @ 3x to 10x.
