With the heat wave today (35 & Sunny) went out and sighted in a little cheap read dot I have laying around. Kept them in a 4-6" group at 100 yards which ain't to bad for these OLD eyes. After releasing the hounds I went and checked targets and noticed something laying on top of the snow, the jackets of some the rounds just fired. These went through a pallet, 1/2 or 3/4" wood, skipped once on snow and then came to rest. No lead remained, just jackets. Loads were (as I remember) 29.1 gr. H322 pushing Hornady 110 V-Max out of a Stag 16", 1 in 11 twist.

Kind of hard to determine if expansion was due to wood, snow or combination of the two. There was a pretty good swath in the snow prior to them coming to rest on the next hop.

I had shot some 100 grain Remington SP with a lessor charge and didn't see any jackets from them any where.

PS For those interested this was another Stag built and no failures to feed with either load.
