So I got some 85gr Barrnes ammo form SSA. However, I didnt order the tactical loads. For hunting pig and deer, will it still be as effective? I should have my XT from Harrison this next week. cant wait.

I'm sure they will work just fine. The tac load is usually only 100 fps faster.

The commercial 85's are still supposed to get 3000 fps from a 16" barrel. I've tested the TSX at around 2670 into ballistics gel (out of an 8.5" barrel) and it still penetrated to 19", retained 100% weight, and expanded to .585 inches. It's supposed to expand to around 2100 fps so it should still give you a decent effective range for hunting. Check the JBM ballistics trajectory for the numbers.
