Re: Spike's Tactical Stripped Lower Group Buy **Now Open**

I just sent in my payment for two and e-mailed the FFL, so now the waiting begins. Not long, but like a kid at Christmas, any wait at all is too much!
Thanks!

Re: Spike's Tactical Stripped Lower Group Buy **Now Open**

I got my two lowers today and they are very nice. I am a bit disappointed though since I asked for two consecutive numbered lowers and followed the directions given to me to the letter to assure that I got them that way. Hell, they weren't even close. There was a small scratch on one lower right at the mag release button but nothing a Sharpie won't cover and when the mag release button is installed it would be hard to see anyway.
They look great, the finish is even, jet black, and the engraving and paint filling is the best I have seen. Even with the small scratch they are quite the bargain and well worth the money (like they are going to remain scratch free forever anyway). I am sure if I had had my dealer return them to Spike's they would have corrected the serial number mistake but that is just too much of a hassle for something trivial like consecutive serial numbers. But it still would have been nice to have consecutive numbered lowers like I have with two sets of Ameetec lowers and one set of LCW lowers.
Maybe next time...

Re: Spike's Tactical Stripped Lower Group Buy **Now Open**

I knew you would make it good if I had chosen to make an issue of it (sorry, I had not seen your reply until today. I had forgotten all about this post on this forum). My previous report was more of "this is the way it was" more than a complaint. I waffled back and forth all month on should I get some more or not and I could not wait any longer, I came back in on the last day and ordered 4 more lowers. This time, as you directed me on AR15.com, I called Angela this afternoon and she shipped me out 4 consecutive numbered lowers. The scratches, well, that was more of a reporting not a complaint. They are going to get scratched sooner or later so a small rather insignificant handling scratch is not something I am going to get my panties in a bunch over. Now, should another ban come I can have these 6 lowers built up and ready to replace a lower already built should one get damaged, or I get a hankering to finish building yet another-or six-rifle(s). But first I will have to get into the new house and where the vault will have more room for more toys. Things are starting to get a little crowded in the old safe.

So, now that the sale is over, what was the total sold here and on AR15.com? A lot of us are curious to know.
And thank Angela again for a really nice birthday present!

6-5-08 (arrived 6-4-08)
I Picked up my 4 lowers today and they were perfect and the consecutive serial numbers were more than I would have ever hoped for. I asked for consecutive and would have been happy with any 4 consecs, but what I got was a consecutive set of 4 that started with a SAR00x00 through SAR00x003. I mean, how cool is that?
That really did make this birthday extra special.
Thank you very much and I hope you will consider running another before the Antis bring in another ban.
