ive noticed that some of my prohunters seem to be taking it hard when i unload after hunting,, the soft point is kind of deformed a little,, is this normal? thanks

What upper do you have? Does it have M4 Feedramps?

Typical. Even with good M4 ramps,most SP's seem to do that. It does seem more pronounced than on my 5.56.....I've never had a problem...just make sure the ramps on the upper and barrel extension line up...sometimes there can be an edge the tips can catch on....And check to be sure that the bullets aren't being pushed deeper into the case.

On the plus side Tim has done a lot of tests showing no matter how bad you screw the point up it will still shoot just as well as the none jacked up ones.....

I have that happen on many of my bolt guns over the years also. No big deal in my opinion. If they get deformed enough you can smooth them out.
