I've been kicking around an SBR 30 HRT for awhile now, but haven't pulled the trigger. I'm looking for something that offers more than my current Blackout in terms of energy and improved trajectory. This upper would be intended for whitetail, 200ish yards and in and suppressed 100%.

My Blackout sports an 8.3" barrel, and it is a very handy little rifle. So if I decide to go the HRT route, I'd like to stay in the 8.5" to 10.5" range.

What sort of performance would I be looking at in something this short? I'd be running the 110's up thru 130 class of bullets. I have no intentions of running subs as I already have the BLK for that.

I'll most likely go with an X caliber barrel since I've had such good luck with them in the past. 6groove, 1:12 twist

I bought a couple of H’s tac30 before he stopped selling them. I cut mine down from 16” to 13.5” and I’m getting 2650 fps with 110 gr varm. I was able to get the fps up to 2790 but that was pretty hot. Here is my YouTube channel showing some of the coyote kills I got. Start at #62, i got my first triple with it.

My Tac 30 is a Bigger Hammer as well. One of my favorites along with the MSR 270

Comparing to my Leigh high 112 gr load with h322 for my 12.5 6.8, which isn’t hot by any chance but is the most accurate. The fps is 2250. I love the tac30. It really does put the hurt to coyotes. I have 125 ab I test at 2670 fps. Just haven’t used it because those 110 are a lot cheaper.
