Ruger has a new 223 piston rifle coming out based somewhat on the AR series and it looks like it would make a great 6.8 cal

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I wouldn't count on Ruger bringing out the right barrel specs though. As great as it was of them to bring the 6.8 Mini to the market, they are still SAAMI and 1:10 when everyone else except Armalite has moved to the better SPC II chamber.

I like the 6.8 Mini, but wish Ruger had looked into the SPC II.

After Bill Ruger sold us all out (hi-cap mags) I don't count on ruger for anything. I have a few 10-22's that are 15+ yrs old, a Deerfield Carbine 44mag, and a 45-70 #1 (great shooter) so I use to be a supporter. Now I say F RUGER.

Many feel the same way. Ruger did pass on, and now they're opening the door with 20 and 30 rd Mini HiCap mags, plus the new Ruger piston AR. It's not to say they won't jump ship again, but there are some decent offerings from them right now.

Have these rifles been released to market yet? I would like to read some reviews on them also.
They were just announced, which I imagine will coincide with some magazine articles any time now. I'm sure some production samples have been in gunwriters' hands recently.
