We've heard rumors of compact bolt guns coming in 6.8. I'm curious on the specs also.

Man if Savage came out with a design like there le design I think I would fall over myself getting to it. Ruger is nice just picky on the mount rings. It is great to see more companies getting behind the 6.8 and we haven't even seen what is coming from SHOT show yet.

And supposedly, trigger work is a complete PITA. Never owned a Ruger rifle except the 10/22 so I can't say from firsthand experience but it did keep me from getting one once.

Scanning down and seeing the HK rifle is kinda annoying........ I wont be buying one now at all.

That looks like a bolt gun I can get behind. I would want the blued finish and a synthetic stock with a 10 round mag, though. As for the chamber and twist dimensions, I bet we'll know after the Shot Show.

I suspect that's a good guess. It's probably the same as the 6.8 Mini-14 specs, but unlike the Mini you should be able to use a reamer to improve the carbine's chamber to SPC II.
Unfortunately the twist rate will still be the same...

But at least you get a bolt...so a used one...cheap would be a great find....so I hope they sell a million of them... 8)
