No surprise. They were running on reputation for the last 20 years. The investment firm that ownes them is anti-2A. Their business model didn't change after the last bankruptcy. No attempt was made to improve products. If their financial situation didn't improved over the last 4 months, they had no hope.

In the current market, if you sell guns and ammunition and can’t make a profit, then your business model is seriously screwed up.

They are located in Ilion NY. They have been closed for nearly 4 months thanks to their illustrious governor. That may not be the whole problem but it was certainly not helpful.

Storm Lake and Tapco were also closed. Attempting to bail out a sinking ship maybe? I was under the impression that only the Remington R1 which was previously Para Ordinance and the RM series pistols were being made in Huntsville. Pretty sure the Standard line up, including Marlin are all still coming out of Ilion NY.

They're coming and they'll stop at nothing to get what they want. By Any Means Necessary.

This is what happens when you allow people to sue a gun company for the actions of sociopaths and psychopaths.

Remington won't be shutting down. Just selling to a new owner. It will likely no longer be owned by Freedom Group and quite possibly (hopefully) be moved out of NY. This probably sucks for investors but could well be a good thing for the consumer.

The Navajo Nation has money to purchase Remington Arms?

I don't trust the MSM and refuse to watch much or believe any but the following is what I have picked up from them.

The Navajo Nation is publicly pleading for donations to save the nation from the Wuhan Virus as so many of the people do not even have running water? They come on TV pleading for assistance and cry how devastated the nation is while totally locking down the entire Navajo Nation for days at a time.

But money is available to purchase a firearms company? Either they are lying to everybody about how bad things are or someone is misreporting that the Navajo Nation is making this offer.

Those who reside in the 4 Corners area can testify to the reports of how hard the Wuhan Virus has been on the Navajo Nation. The White Mountain Apache Tribe has closed ALL of their recreational (forest and fishing) areas and their casinos.

Probably someone from the nation. There are several rich tribe members. The general population though lives in appalling conditions.

The Navajo Tribe (nation) is probably the richest tribe in the world. They have had extensive reach into business ventures for decades and not more than 5 or 6 years ago they won and actually received a half billion dollar settlement from the US Govt. If their people are suffering it is due to mismanagement in my opinion. Many (about 5000) members receive a monthly check from the government. If they don't have running water it is their own fault if you ask me. There is a big difference depending on where you are in tribal hierarchy.
