Barrett has released 60 of the REC7 rifles, mine is one the way. I hope to have it Friday (May 30). Contact your dealer if you are after one. I saw one on Gunbroker, it lasted a day. Good hunting!

Yes, it showed up om May 30. Serial number 000003X, with 1 mag, manual, lock and sight ajustment tool. I put a Leupold CQ/T with LaRue mount on it.

It looks good, no range time yet. I also aquired a number of Barret mags, very similar to the HK 5.56 super mag (shorter term). The rifle looks well made, just as you see in the magazine articles, but a LMT stock will not fit on the Barrett tube.

I called Barrett and asked, changing the tube would be OK. Also asked about a tritium front/rear sight, they thought that would be a good idea for something to sell in their web store (gee, you think so???).

All for now, bought a SIG 556 Commando and trying to figure out BIUS and optics......the BUIS that come on the SIG 556 suck so bad that SIG should offer a rebate so you can buy aftermarket sights...
