Yep.. looks like a nice upper. I think ADDAX's 6.8 GPU comes in under that don't they, with the piston installed?

Rainier Arms carries nice gear, and has kept their lowers priced decently during this mad rush.

I like the looks of the package but you could get 2 "Xtremes" for a little more money.

Seems to be configured to the specs of a current or future Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR).

Anyone know if 6.8SPC is being evaluated for this role? Seems like a win win compared to a mark 12/mini-SaSS or similar rifle.

Not yet, we need to get a foot in the door first and show them what it will do now that the performance has been improved.
I am hearing from every agency now we just need to get some in the hands and the word will spread fast.

I just read a couple articles about the AMU and the DMR rifles. Those uppers maximize the 5.56's performance, so just think if they deployed a 6.8 version of the same. One of the articles mentioned the MK 262 ammo works well on terrorists but the barrier penetration falls short. It seems the 6.8 would improve on the concept.

The 75 grain OTM stuff works very well on bg's... it just isnt good for blasting through stuff.... the pentrator works well for blasting through stuff it just sucks on soft targets....

I think the 6.8 OTM does better against hard targets and still works very well on soft targets.... getting the .mil to switch over is going to be a while... those smaller gov't agencies however should be a lot easier.....
