Just received POF P 415 upper 6/4/09. Ordered 4/8/09. 8 weeks turnaround is great these days. Thanks to Chris and all at POF.
Still waiting on a few parts to complete. Looks like they have added something similar to M4 ramps they are calling P4 feed ramp. Looks like they cut one larger ramp connecting across where others use the two m4 ramps. I will test and try to upload pics asap when rest of parts come in.

Don't know if it is my computer or your links but I can't view the pics.

It might be the links I can't pull them up either.

Posting pics is very easy. Just get a free photobucket.com account or similar account to load your pictures to. Once your pictures are in you album assuming you are using photobucket (not sure how others work), hold your mouse over the picture (do not click on it). When you do that there will be a number of boxes with http:// addresses after them. Move your mouse to the last box, you should see the letter IMG. That is short for image, I think. Click on the http:// protocol until it is highlighted, when it is highlighted right click on it. When the shortcut box appears select copy. Come back to the forum where you want to place the pick, right click again, then select paste. When you do so, the address that was in the IMG box over on photobucket will be copied word for word to this forum. Although it will appear as an image protocol link in the text box, if you select preview post you will see the picture.

This is assuming you set up a photobucket account. I am not sure how the others work. Also, it is best if you have either two windows or two tabs open. That way you will not have to be going back and forward between this site and you photo album.

Good looking rifle. Let us know how she shoots when you get a chance. That P4 ramp is pretty cool.

woodrow, based on your description and next to last picture, it looks like the ramps on my POF uppers. Sort of one big rifle ramp, but not one big M4 ramp, in that the ramp doesn't extend into the lower receiver...

I wonder if it there is an advantage to using one ramp as compared to two individual ramps. it should be easier you cut and I know the larger caliber conversions use that type of feed ramp just curious if there is any advantage of the two ramps or the one large ramp....

Correct-- It does not extend into the receiver. Have you had any feed problems?
I have not test fired yet. Hope to this week end
I haven't fired yet either, but based on the 68forums class feedback (see the old threads), it sounds like the 6.8s may encounter some issues. If that turns out to be the case, then perhaps extending the ramp into the lower will be necessary. I want to try hand cycling some dummy rounds to check the feeding, but I'd have to make them first (and I'm getting started with reloading so that's not likely to happen too fast, lol).

Yep, when I first saw the ramp my first thought was maybe it's faster/easier to machine just one. POF doesn't advertise it as a feature, so it's not clear (to me) what advantage it would offer, if any.
