I thought I was done hunting this year, got 1 with the Garand and another with the 6.8. PSA had a sale on their AR10’s so, but it was on sale! Anyway, it will shoot the S&B 150 SPCE’s into about a 3/4” group at 100 yards. I digress, not a gun review, anyway, I saw a couple of pics on the game camera of a scrawny spike that looked like somebody had blown off his lower jaw. Dont know why they’d be after that little guy but, he was jacked up so I decided to put him down. He came out right after I got set up so I administered a single dose of the copper colored pain killer. I added a pic of the exit wound, those SPCE are not only accurate, they are downright nasty. Pic of spike upright was the last frame before the shot. I left him for the scavenger's, looked too sickly to take any meat.

A shame you didn't have the chance to take him sooner, before the injury took its toll on him like it did. Good on ya for ending his misery. Congrats on the clean kill.

Thanks, second year in a row I had to clean up someones screw up. Last year it was a big 8 pointer with an arrow through the neck. I agree, wish Id seen that spike sooner, he’d been like that for a while.

Ugh! Two years in a row? That'd get old really quick. Some kid probably practicing, able to hit paper at 80 yds. and figured he was good enough.
