After shopping I bought this setup. About same price with same cameras. I only use 4 but can place 8. I have access to video, alarms, playback and pictures.

There is a learning curve and some frustrations including playback. it's slow. There may be better ways. I have not yet needed to find out. It records a tera byte. Hard drive included. That is important and do not over look it.

I can monitor from my android cell phone. Go to meshare.com. Explore it. It works great. To add additional camaras I have to spend around $300.00.

I have had to use the tech support. No complaints. There are reviews online. The negative ones I do not understand.

If you find something better please share it. This is a good topic to sticky.
