Does anyone know the Order No. for the Remington 700p in 6.8 with a 26" barrel? I know that the 20" LTR Order No. was 5677, but I have not been able to find the Order No. for the 26". I have seen several of them listed on gunbroker.com, but the photos of the boxes do not include the right side of label where the Order No. is located. I also have heard that the Remington 6.8 police guns have been/will be discontinued. Has anyone else heard this? I just checked both catalogs and I don't see the 6.8 listed in any of the Remington catalogs but when I plug 6.8 into the Remington website search function, it pulls up the 700 SPS with a 6.8 listing. That is the same page I was able to find on the Remington website, but there isn't even any mention of that model in either of the Remington printed catalogs. The model I am inquiring about is here http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... m=94834534 . I have the 20" LTR model and have not had a chance to put any rounds through it yet (took me longer than I expected to save up for a good piece of glass). I have an order in with SSA that should arrive next week and weather permitting, I hope to get to the range that weekend. Might have to look into getting a big brother to go with the one I have.
