In January I bought three 6.8 bags of 100 each from an on line supplier of once fired brass for $17.50 a bag plus shipping. But he hasn't had any since.

If you sell them to me, you won't have to go through the process of advertisement. If this forum site allows, please contact me via my email and I'm confident we can come to an amicable agreement on price.

I get $.20 per case for once fired Remington. (WHEN I HAVE IT)
It sells fast and there are always another 5 or 6 people lined up for more.

So since SSA is more desirable I would think it would go for even more.

I sold 100 Remington brass de-primed and sized for $30. For Silver State right now-you should be able to get at least .25 each if they have not been de-primed/sized in a die. They are great brass for re-loading. I am selling off all my large primer Remington/Silver state and concentrating on small primer Hornady and newer Silver State.

If by Proper disposal you mean that you will load them and send them back to me. I have some SSA and some Hornady that would love to be used again.

Well, new 223 brass is about $210 per thousand, and you can get once fired 223 LC brass for $75 per thousand, which works out to 36% the cost of new brass. Since SSA brass is $420 per thousand, 36% would be $151 per thousand of once fired brass. So, I guess a fair price would be about $15.10 per 100 once fired cases. I know this does not take into account the scarcity of 6.8 compared to 223 brass, but I don't think it is worth saving just a few dollars if once fired brass is almost the cost of new stuff.

Most everything I have seen lately is once fired LC $120 - $160

why not try to work out a deal. I have an idea, offer the brass 100 count for free if the person would reload and send you back 20. you could work out the bullet weight between you. This is what I have been comtemplating since I do not reload. I want to learn but right now it is the barter system. what do you all think???????

I would say it would be counter productive with shipping cost for a 100... to 20 ratio. I think its a good idea if you start with 500 cases for 100 rounds.

Brassman Brass has it for around $85/1000. They usually only have stock for a single day during the week, and it sells out fast. I just call them by phone every once in a while to check in. Got another 1,000 cases three weeks ago. Don't go paying $140 on ARFCOM to somebody ripping you off...
