I plan on going on a camping trip in the next month for a few days and wanted to take my PSD. I thought I read that if you cross state lines with an NFA weapon like a SBR you needed to complete a form and send it to the ATF. Any truth to this?
I believe that is true......must get an approval letter prior to the trip. Some states do not allow SBRs and if so, the state law trumps the NFA. AR15.com has an NFA forum and members with much more experience than I.
Thanks. I might just take a non-nfa 6.8 rifle with me and save the hassle. Talk about laws and form just to have laws and forms. Nothing to do with this fights crime......
