I like the new ar-bdc2 reticle better than the old one. Plus getting up to 8x is good. The MSRP is a hefty $120 higher than the 1-6. $570 msrp will probably be in the $450 range which is pretty high.

Interesting. Optics planet and several other of the bigger online retailers are pricing it at $449.00 and claiming ship dates in the next 5-7 weeks. Many are taking backorders now. Could be a really cool optic for close to intermediate shooting. I've never been a fan of the BDC type reticles. I would prefer a Mil-dot or regular MOA hashed one, but may have to give this scope a try.
I prefer a duplex with a dot in the middle and only the dot illuminates for using at night. Too much stuff illuminated just takes away from my sight picture. I don't use illumination during the day time.

I agree, simpler is better for a low power scope. I would be OK with non-illuminated mil marks, but with this reticle I won't be getting one.
It would be nice if the Burris rt6 was a 1-8x. I like that reticle better.
