I spotted a picture of this mount from RRA and looked it up on their website. Says "New Improved Design". Looks like they added the forward offset. The price looks reasonable at $47.50.

Some of you may have seen it before, but I just ran across it.

I have the 1" version of that one with the silly telescope I'm planning on mounting on my Xtreme when it comes in.

How long has it been out? I remember the mount RRA had before, but this one looks like a better fit for an AR over some of the others.

Now we have this one to add to the list of better priced AR scope mounts.

It's been out since last fall. It does have more forward offset and it weighs less but it's still the same height as the old style at 1.7"
