new lower- fail to feed/eject

Ok,

Dumb question here-

I have recently built a new lower, and attached an upper that ran flawlessly to it yesterday....and then the fun started.

It would chamber the first round, but then either jam extracting the case or close on an empty chamber.

It was ejecting lightly at 3-4 o clock

Now all I changed was the lower- so I tightened up the mag release button to be sure the mag was placed properly.

Same ammo- grouped great, but oddly 6 inches lower.....dialed it in.

This is confusing to me, to say the least, and looking for ideas.

Maybe a bad batch of reloads???? Same loads, but since I have several thousand loaded now, maybe It was from a box that had issues- dunno...just looking for ideas.

Thanks

Possibly a different, stronger spring or buffer.
maybe-

It may be the spring- it is the same weight buffer- carbine.

might did around- any suggestions for a top notch spring?

It would be easy to swap with the spring from the lower that works fine before you buy anything else. Maybe even measure the questionable spring to see if it is the correct length and or compare it to the known good spring.

Then again, you may not have access to that known good lower anymore. If that is the case, please excuse my simplistic response.

yup

That is the plan for tonight....and rechecking the gas block....again
Mags, spring tension on mags.

The description of the spring you put into the new lower says this: " Made to “extra power” specs ". That's probably the root to all your problems. Put a standard weight spring in the lower and it will probably function they way it did with the other lower.
OP has not responded in four days.

Oh well. Some folks just don't want to communicate.

I think we have seen this before.
