Just curious what cartridges that are new or are coming out are peaking your interests? For me I am really liking the idea of a 9x39mm for that pure subsonic use.

What say y’all? What cartridges are getting your thoughts?

If you run across a 30x39 barrel, .308 1-10 twist chambered in 7.62x39 and have an old die set with a 308 sizer, and plug, buy that hummer. My 16.5” shoots 150s to 2600, with 1680 and sub 1/2” I ran across a sale on these at Tulsa for $99 and bought one to try it, knowing I had the old dies. Wow.

I have two cats I am working with in the brass forming stage at the moment, out of the MDWS shop.

The 6mm Mongoose based on the 223 case, necked to 6mm with body blown out and a 40 degree shoulder, Chamber is designed for LC military brass, 32g H2o case capacity. A deadly little mother, for smaller critters, yotes and such. this gun has an 18” 1-8 SS barrel. Designed to throw 90 to 100grain bullets. A yote came up to within 75 yards in the rain, opened the screen door, adios yote, dirt nap.

Then the 24 GPC based on the 6.8 SPC, shortened .050 with 40 degree shoulder and body blown out. 36 gr H2o capacity intended for 100s and 115s. This gun has an 18” SS 1-8 barrel, mid length tube.
I am running surplus 844 in testing right now, two different AR-15s.

Both cartridges will hold sub .5” in fire forming their brass with 80g Rem FBSP bullets.
