Ok... My 5.56 build is done except for the feedramps and KG coating, and my 6.8 build is done, just waiting for WOA to get me my barrel. So, I was thinking about starting a 9mm build.

We have never owned a pistol carbine and I have only fired a CX4 before, but the idea is very intriguing to me. American Eagle 147gr. TMJ is around $11 per 50 and from what I've read is still subsonic out of a carbine... That plus a YHM Wraith and the flash hider would be a damn near silent weapon with no flash... I will be using it for plinking of course but most importantly to take out skunks, badgers, nutria, rattlesnakes, and other varmints/nuisances at night so as to not disturb our deer herd or better yet, our turkey roost (which is massive btw)

So, are there any chrome-lined barrel options out there? Anyone know of a good barrel manufacturer for 9mm AR barrels? I'm gunna use a spike's billet 9mm upper, sun devil lower, EMOD, already have the YHM diamond quad for it, and put a Burris AR-332 on it... Unless you all have better suggestions/options for me to consider... Thanks in advance.

There are more knowledgeable than me on this topic, but all I will add to the discussion is to be careful and choose your parts wisely.

At the last carbine course my friend attended a while back, two guys ran 9mm ARs, and both went down by end of the second day. The one running suppressed has 40+ malfunctions over the two days. Instructor gave him the "ass clown award" -- that will give some of you an idea of who was the teacher... :)

I'm pretty OCD about getting parts that are very high quality... That's why I'm asking...
