I got my wife a CZ75 Compact the other day, it fits her hands better than my 1911s, has the same controls so no worries 'bout retraining her, and had a nice recommendation from an Army friend of mine.
Of course, I ditched the shit factory trigger and had it converted to single action, and a trigger job while I was at it.
It shoots pretty nice for a 9mm.
