Took my shiny new PSA to the range today and fired exactly two shots. The first cycled the 110 Hornady hand load just fine. The second did not. I look to the adjustment screw at the end of the gas block and Bam. It was completely gone. So I looked everywhere and nothing. The good news is I had a single shot rifle that shot pretty well with three of my loads I made for it. The bad news is I have Ruger No 1 rifles for my single shot hunting.

Any recommendations as to which ECONOMICAL but reliable gas block I can use. It is a .75. This is not really my thing but I desperately want to learn. Being an avid hog hunter in Texas this format is very effective for sure. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Replace the screw from ACE Hardware. Put a dab of RTV gasket material on the threads and you won't loose another one. No need to ask how I learned this from JP Enterprises.

A million thanks. Any idea the part number? I used to adjust rim fire triggers with springs from ACE Hardware.

I usually just take things like that with me and try and fit. Call PSA and they could give you a size or maybe they'll send you a couple. JP did that for me but I'd already gone to ACE. JP actually specs using RTV in their instructions. They really had a good time razzing me on that as I grew up in the land of 10,000 lakes. I run about 30 adjustables and they get RTV'd when assembled. I haven't lost one in well over 15 years.

I run cheap ergo adjustable gas blocks on my guns and they've worked fine. Same thing happened to me, I called them up and they said they would send me a replacement. I asked if they could send me a few just in case i lose another 1. They ended up sending me 3 of every screw on the gas block. I would call psa and hopefully they'll do the same for you. I now put blue thread locker on all my screws and haven't had an issue.

PSA says the adjustment screw should arrive within 10 days. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.
maybe a stupid comment but make sure you loosen the side set screw first or you'll ruin both if you forget... ;)

Same upper, same issue. PSA sent me another gas block and it still didn’t cycle. Checked everything I could on my end; buffer, spring, even different lowers. Finally PSA offered for me to ship it back. I’m suspecting that the gas port needs enlarging or the gas block is set off center. At least they are trying to take care of it…
with that said the shots I did fire out of it were impressive accuracy-wise.

One of my daughters bought a complete PSA 5.56 upper. It was cheaper to buy it that way than all of the parts individually. The gas block was canted. The barrel wasn't dimpled at all. None of the screws had any thread locker on them. I took the upper completely apart and put it back together properly. Trued the receiver face. Bedded the barrel to the upper with LocTite. Anti seize on the barrel nut threads and correct torque sequence. Double dimpled the barrel with a jig. LocTited the set screws. LocTited the HG screws. The accuracy is great, but plan on disassembling and correctly reassembling everything for best results. I think the PSA parts are a great value, but their assembly skill and QC is lacking.
