In looking at the picture I am guessing that is an uparmored HMMMV due to the way the tire is squatting and the door lip.
From that guess I would almost bet that the AK was picked up from some Taliban that had taken the d-handle off a shovel to replace the stock that had gotten broken somehow. The Taliban and others that live in that area are adept at making something work when it gets broken.
