After seeing these and playing with them a little I decided these were prime choice for my Xtreme.
I was able to get a set at AIMSURPLUS for 93.00 and .1 cent for shipping!!!!

Anyone else running these??? any tips or opinions??

Magpul

Last gunshow I went to, dude was selling them for $70 a piece, I passed. 4 rows of tables later found a guy selling them for $40 front, $55 rear. I jumped on it. I still haven't mounted them, they're for my next build. ( I also got 2 lowers at the show).

I found them solid. I couldn't tell what they were made of till I thumped em with my finger. Seem real solid.

Question is, when is magpul going to come out with a 6.8 mag. Thats what I want.

I love the front sight but I actually got to hold it and look through it... they didnt have a rear sight to look at so I flew blind on purchasing it. We will see I guess.

They wont work on my current rig so they will be waiting once the extreme comes...I wont need to wait for sights or an optic to shoot it.

If the rear sight doesnt live up then I will swap it out for an RRA tactical handle...

For me personally and a couple other guys that looked through it when we TandE'ed the rear sight since the O2 apature is plastic and thin it looks a lot bigger then it really is. if you are just going to use the standard apature it isnt a big deal.

I would agree about the rear aperature. It does seem a little thick and it is odd to have to seperate the rear aperatures rather than flipping it over. But for the price I think they are a good set. I wasn't going to add BUIS to my 6.8, I was just going to leave it with the optic, but the MBUS cost low enough for the set that I thought I would try them out. I've only played with them so far, I haven't gotten to shoot with them yet.

Don't worry about the over tightening too much. I wasable to snug mine downpretty tight without an issue. You just can't crank them down as hard as you can. If you are that worried about the coming off, use some locktite instead of cranking so hard.

Thanks!!!

I will use some blue loctite and leave them alone once they are mounted.

They came in the mail today and I have to say they are nifty little phuckers... I like both the front and the rear sight... we will see how they line up and shoot on my rig.
