did work on some nutrea this past weekend. these are some of the grossest animals i have ever been around imo.

took a poor shot on this sow through the brush (dont even start). after tracking her for over an hour on my hands and knees through this switch cane these hogs have infested (i seriously felt like i was in vietnam), she charged me through a clearing. i dropped her about 10 ft from me. she looks small in the pic cuz the grass is so tall, i shoulda dragged her out on the dirt road for a pic. she was probably 60lbs, no monster but man was that a fuckin rush.

the first shot i took on her was right under the heart, passed through cleanly. we didn't wait long enough before going after her so we had her running for forever (i know, mistake #2). the shot that dropper her snapped her neck right behind her ears. so i guess my vmaxs performed just fine, i was more interested on how they would perform on a shoulder shot, guess thats for next time.

obliterated them
Excellent, the Vmaxs are a little light for pigs, The pro hunters would be good if you dont see any of the big ones. or the 85 or the 110 TSX has proven itself to be a pig stopper....

You can purchase the regular or the tactical loads, if you dont have the SPCII just purchase the regular loads. and maybe get on the list for the reamer paul will send you to cut it out to SPC II

Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Without getting too nosy, what part of the country were you hunting? I am guessing Louisiana, Texas or Mississippi considering the nutria and hogs living together???

Nutria are indeed a pest! Aren't they partially responsible for some of the Katrina damage? I heard that they had weakened the levees in some places due to their digging/tunnelling, etc. I've seen where the sheriff's dept. in New Orleans has a guy from the Tac Unit who rides around the levees at night shooting the nutria at the canals.

my buddys got a place with a 17 acre ski lake turned swamp right on the trinity river in centerville tx. the things infested with nutria and has gators in the summer. i have heard of them damaging the levees too but never read anything about it. i wouldn't mind being that guy though, thatd be kinda fun :) lol
