Thought ya'll might like to see my new LaRue 5.56 Stealth Sniper System: on bottom. My RRA 6.8 on top. All i need to complete this set up is the new TA31H-68 for my RRA 6.8. Think i will switch that Doctor Red Dot onto that TA31H optic since the 6.8 is my hunting/battle/home defense rifle. I'm pretty sure i can switch it over to any ACOG can't I? I need to delve deepers into this. I like that Surefire Mx962.... But i don't think i'll leave it on. Think i will have to go with another E2D LED Defender and a LaRue offset Mount. I love it on my 6.8, i have it on the other side in this pic. I should take some more pics of that setup. The 5 Lumen is very nice for stalking through the woods in the early morning. That Mx962 is just too much. I'm into the LED Small profile lights now.

Looks great. You can move the red dot to the other ACOG. You may have to get the adapter for it.

Also, just a suggestion, but I'd move the rear Troy BUIS back closer to the charging handle on the first slot so you could move the ACOG back some more.

I've only shot it off of my M&P lower i built. I haven't shot the LaRue Lower yet (and holy shit do they fit tight together, just like i like it). But very nice and crisp with that Giselle High Speed Trigger.

But it shot very nice, except I've only shot 55 gr Rems with iron sights. (My shooting wasn't all that great, i only popped off a couple mags, it was asshole hot out)

I'll be sighting in that ACOG eventally. It's sighted to my 6.8 right now. Once i get the TA31H-68 to replace it, i will get that done. I don't want to move the zeros off my 6.8 without another optic to put on yet.

I need to research which Round i should use for the best accuracy in 5.56. I'm assuming some of you fanatics with the BRD know what i need to be shooting to get my best MOA. This is my first 5.56, I would have gotten a 6.8SPC if LaRue had one (lets keep hoping).

Here's why i put my rear sight a couple slots forward. Kind of a vanity thing, but when you buy a LaRue...

:) :) :). That's cool.
There are so many accurate bullets in the .223 to choose from. The Sierra and Nosler 69/77 GR BTHP,
Hornady 68/75 GR BTHP. I even got great results with the Hornady 55 GR FMJ/BT.

What build is that?

Also, from reading your quote i think you would appreciate this rail system LaRue puts out.

it is my first 556 rifle, a friend of mine built it for cost, he shot a recorded 4.5 inch group at 600 meters with it... it is a stainless 20 inch 1-7 barrel with a bunch of other stuff added.

Live free and Die is a great motto... I am proud to live in the state where it is still the motto... I hope the local reps keep it that way and remember what it means......

What stuff did he add to accurize the 5.56?

Also Nice stick Bull0 I like Larue stuff also. I would be great if he did a 6.8. I am waiting to here about how the OSR's perform.

Hmmm... I put that Giselle High Speed trigger in there. I may need to pull this thing apart and check how that trigger is sitting. It sucks cause i have no work space at my parents house...I close on my house next week. Can't wait...

I wonder how much other Larue is not made in Tx. They advertise how bad ass they are at machining stuff and how its all made in Texas, even having a big Texas logo on the other side Its clearly machined on the other side that its machined in Oregon due to the BATFE regulations.
