They're inconsistent in their offerings for 6.8 bolts. There have been a few discussions such as the one I'll post where M1S sells 223 bolts opened up to make 6.8 bolts and there could be extractor issues if the correct one isn't used. Some question the strength of a 223 bolt after metal is removed to accomodate the 6.8, versus a bolt designed for the 6.8. Who did the machining on a 223 bolt, and did they know what they're doing when they did so? When the 6.8 was new, opening up 223 bolt faces was needed to have bolts for the 6.8. Now the cartridge is established, why not just buy a bolt made for the 6.8?

Some here have bought CMT bolts from M1S which is fine as CMT is one of the companies manufacturing 6.8 bolts.

Just be careful when shopping.

Yeah, you'd probably want to inspect the bolt or anything else you buy from them. I've been to their tables at gun shows and they carry a variety of items. Some are good deals, and others are walk away froms. Their 5.56 offering are probably better, but they are behind the curve in 6.8 products. They still have some 9.5 twist and SAAMI chambered barrels which are very outdated.

The had some decent prices at a recent gun show on AR tools, and other accessories.
