I had to sell my 6.8 rifle.
The good news is, it got me the funds to buy our first house! :D
I'm already looking to get another 6.8 in the next year or so.
I have decided to move away from DI, and only go piston.
I will probably build my own lower, but will purchase a complete upper.
What is a good lightweight piston upper?
Most I've been looking at are weighted down with big rails and other "stuff" I don't need.
I'm looking for lightweight and SPCII chamber. Outside of that, I'm open to suggestions.
I'm probably going to use another Eotech.

We are waiting to get in some medium contour 6.8 chrome lined barrels we specially ordered for a new 6.8 GPU we will be introducing this summer. It will have a newly designed piston system we are currently working on as well. ;)

This new upper will be in a Carbine set up, and it will have a unique rail set up, and it will be lighter than our current GPU.

Good luck with the new home.

You'll have plenty of time to research the piston uppers and see what's on the market when you're ready.

I think Addax may be your best source unless someone else pops up with a light weight piston upper by then. I haven't seen many of the piston manufacturers offering lightweight piston uppers, so you may be going custom. The thing with Addax is they will work with you to customize your selection. They've already jumped in with a suggestion.

The Xtreme barrels are reasonably light weight. Maybe you can send an Xtreme barrel to Chris to have it made into an Addax GPU? Just figure out which compatible forend is the lightest weight and you're done.
