Not recommending but Midway has dropped the price on new Remington 6.8 Brass to $36.89/100. I know this is the least preferred brass but for those on a budget.

I think that if I were to buy brass at that price, I would spend the 5 dollars more per 100 and get SSA brass. Anyone that is on a budget should be buying 22 LR not looking into a 6.8 at near a dollar per round.

At the local gun show today I saw guys trying to sell 5.56 ammo for 50 cents to a dollar a round depending on whether it was low end stuff or SS109. I don't know if he had sold any or if he did, I just saw his prices and kept walking.

This makes the current cost of 6.8 look better.

yeah it was literally available for 35 minutes from when the email went out. I was in a meeting when i got the email and logged in to look at the price. Was thinking about buying it but decided to actually participate in the meeting. 35 minutes later...out of stock. Insane. Who's the lucky ba$tage who bought ALL of their stock?

Not me, but I had a surprise today. Midsouth Shooters Supply called me and said my 6.8 shellplate(#12) and brass was in. I ordered it back in November. I told the gal to keep the shellplate and I took the brass. They may still have the plate.
and I thought I was going to get my primers,Damn!
