I'm new to this forum. I took my 6.8 out for the first time yesterday and noticed some marks on all of the spent casings. They are vertical lines about 5/32 apart on the neck. Can anyone tell me if there is something amiss? Is this normal?

Thanks guys for all your help. I kinda suspected the barrel extension but now I am comforted by all your experienced advice and knowledge.

I can't see the picture (pending approval), but is it safe to assume they are a pair of scratches that are parallel to each other from about the shoulder to the case mouth?

The photo did not show up but if they are scratches length ways up the case neck it comes from the case hitting the barrel extension lugs as it is being pulled out of the chamber by the extractor. Does not really hurt anything but you could wrap a small piece of sand paper around the tip of your finger and smooth out the corners of the lugs on the right side next to the port.

What Constructor said looks right from the pictures. I figured the same, and the advice he gave will adress the problem. The lug corners will wear down on their own given time, but if you're like me, impatience will win.
