I have already slammed two hogs with the 85 grain TSX, using my Cardinal Armory 12.5" barrel. I haven't chronographed them yet, because I spent most of that day shooting the Tubbs Final Finish series through the new barrel. After the treatment, I went pig hunting in a stand near a deer feeder that they had knocked over. :x I WAS PISSED

So, I snuck in at dusk, and about an hour after sunset, here they came. They sniffed the air at the end of the sendero, but I was scent - free....I actually took a shower in scent soap, as if bow hunting, because they are no so wary of any human scent. They didn't smell me....little bastards

So, here they came, under the feeder and just as a big sow was starting to nudge the legs of the feeder, I plugged her right through the ribs with an 85 grainer, using my D-740....all I wanted to do was put a hole in her and let her run off from the feeder. Instead, she dropped in her tracks!! She just kinda wiggled around a little.....DAMN.

Since I am always ready for the rest of them to run, I re-oriented the rifle toward another running pig, and shot it right in the side, and it, too flopped right over. I had forgotten the camera at home that night

The TSX's are performing just about like I had imagined....and they do it at just under 3000 FPS from the 12.5 inch barrel. Yeah, baby, yeah.

Did the bullets pass through? The more I hear about this round the more I like it. Art at SSA told me this round in the combat load was still pushing 2800 fps from a 10.3" barrel so out of a 12.5" it should be around 2900 fps. With that bullet that is scary!
Both of them went right through. I have never yet recovered a single Barnes bullet from any pig I have shot with them, neither the TSX or the TTSX. That's somewhere around 70 hogs.

And yes, I fully expect to get 2900 FPS form the 12.5" Cardinal barrel. That is pretty amazing when you think about it. As soon as I get back from Laredo, I am going back in for the next pig shoot, but, I have a party from NY coming in for trophy deer Saturday.

However, they have already said that hey want to try the "night vision hog hunting," so I might have another kill to report, and pics this time for sure.

BTW, I just got my PRI gasBuster charge handle, and Young NM chrome carrier, and I installed them into the Spike's / Cardinal SBR tonight. This lil' gun is getting better and better all the time.
