well, I decided to check my Lee 6.8 trimmer yesterday
after trimming SSA brass I measured it and came out with 1.685
hmm
supposed to be 1.676
so, I hit the tip of it with a flat file a few times and trimmed again and checked
got it right

then I realized that the Lee chamfer/debur tool wasn't deburing very well
got a Lyman yesterday and it worked like a charm

I guess the lesson is to double check the trim length with a caliper and not assume anything...

1.685" is a little long, my Lee trimmer cuts my ssa brass to 1.679" and I wish it was shorter. What kind of file did you use?

If they are sticking in the chamber make sure that the neck thickness isn't out of spec if you have one of AR 15 performance's stainless rifles it needs to be .307 or under....
