I was just speaking with Cold and he told me to post this in case some of you were looking for bolts. I emailed Stag about LPK and 6.8 bolt lead times, and the lead time on the 6.8 bolt is only 5-6 weeks. That's really not too bad nowadays. Just FYI.

Hmm funny last I heard it was 3-4 months. I guess it depends who you talk to. I bet some are sick of talking to people and tell people crazy long waits so they won;t keep calling back. With some they were saying stupid things like 10-20 weeks like do you think it gave them a big enough window!?!

Yep, ordered a stripped lower from them back in December and was told more than once it would be 20-24 weeks. 1 week later I get a UPS ship notification that I got a package coming from Stag. The explanation was "must've found one laying around in back or something."

I'm not complaining by any means but I definitely think there's a lot of over estimating going on with lead times to cut down on the "where's my stuff" phone calls. Can't say I blame'em, I'd probably be doing the same thing if I spent a day in their shoes these last few months.

I ordered a 6.8 bolt off their website, return email said 1-2 week backorder. 6 days later the bolt shipped. Not too shabby considering. BUT they rape you on shipping. UPS Ground $14.50 for a frigging bolt. Probably cost them $5-6, pure profit.

The reason for the long delay in the complete lower is they have to actually build that. If you had ordered just the parts and done it yourself I bet you would already have it.

Even though parts are taking a big hit if you remember back before this stupid mindless panic that places like RRA and STAG were quoting 16 weeks for a upper or rifle. They had the parts as you could get them from everywhere they simply refused to bring on more people to build them faster. You notice you go on RRA and look at there site. TI looks like everything is in stock and you can order give your payment info no issue. Then a few days later you get the email stating it will be next century before you get your gun. They figure by doing that and getting you to order when you probably would not have if you had know up front they now have a good chance you will wait thus securing an order. I personally find it disingenuous.
