Hey just a quick thought how long can you keep a mag fully loaded before it affects the spring. Should i fill my bug out bag with box ammo and empty mags rather than leave them loaded for very long periods. I always like to rotate my 45 mags every month so the same two arent always cpmpressed. Do i have the right idea or should i not bother.

What wears the springs down is the constant usage. Leaving them loaded doesn't really do any harm.

Loaded/unloaded no difference. it is the cycleing of the spring that weakens it, along with corrosion if that becomes an issue.

Function test it, Load it, Store it. you should be good to go.

I have read of people picking up mags that were loaded in the 1950s or 1960s and firing them with no problems 30 to 40 years later.
