Getting one of these, a performance center 44, 6.5" barrel and with the weaver rail on the top I will be mounting an Aimpoint Mirco T1
should a killer setup, running some hardcast handloads

be cool to do a spot and stalk with NVG on some hogs

Me like. Where did you find it? I like the smooth cylinder and tapered barrel lug. SW has a good idea going to rails for scope mounts. I played with a bunch of their PC revolvers at the NRA convention and spoke with some of SW's PC staff. That group is definitely in to their firearms.

I am and have been on the hunt for a 3" S&W in 44 mag for a long time. Will go well with my Custom Marlin .44.

I've seen the 3" 629 bear gun fairly often, but the other two not so much.

Ya something like the 29-3". Just don't feel like paying $1300. Hence the "hunt".

had been looking at new 44s for a few weeks
I had a Blackhawk Hunter 7.5" with the Bisley grip, great gun
I just wanted to mount an Aimpoint Micro further back on the gun for ease of holstering
also wanted it as low as possible

spent a lot of time looking at all the options and this was as close to what my "requirements" were to anything I could find

I can't believe the going rate for standard issue 629s
I got this new PC for what some wanted for them...

got the T1 in on Friday and loaded some rounds up this evening
hopefully get it from the FFL tomorrow and hit the range
it's what I want to take my next hog with

Let us know how she shoots. I have been eyeing one of these. I have a Ruger super blackhawk that I have never been fully happy with. Would like to see how these shoot.

Nice .44. The Ruger RedHawk with a 5 1/2" barrel is an excellent weapon also.IMHO
