Doctors vs Gunowners

Doctors
(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now think about this:
Guns
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million)
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 000188.
Statistics courtesy of FBI

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Remember, 'Guns don't kill pe ople, doctors do.'

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must 'ban' doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!

A little gun history

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated .

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. >From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million!

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in: List of 7 items: Australia-wide, homicides are up 32 percent Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)! In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break- ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.

During World War II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends

If I remember anything remotely correctly, one of the Japanese commanders commented on the invasion of the mainland US during WWII as a bad idea because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass. It's interesting how a nation can still be defensively sound when it's combined armed forces are fighting a war in two theaters on opposite sides of the world.

The rest of the world is fed bs by the mainstream media that since there are ~200 million guns in this country, that we all know how to use them. From what I've seen, we got the guns, but not the ability or mindset to do much with them anymore, especially in the major cities. I am speaking in general terms, of course, but how many gun owners out there actually practice marskmanship regularly? Yes, I know attendance at Camp Perry is at an all-time high, but we're talking a few thousand out of a population of 300 million. Things were a lot different in 1941, when the Japanese were contemplating an invasion. Our culture was much more gun-friendly back then. Kids grew up shooting, gun clubs abounded and there were plenty of places to shoot. Most kids nowadays only shoot in video games.

We have a lot of hi-tech equipment. Optics are great for improving one's ability to hit at distance, but what happens when your optic sight goes TU and you don't know how to zero your irons? Do you know your come-ups or hold-overs for various distances?

Worse yet, how many can even walk a fast mile without getting winded? Can you do it carrying a rifle and ammo?

The results of the recent election show me that many gun owners don't care about the 2nd A or the path that this country is taking and now we're faced with an AG the likes of Holder, who is on record regarding his collective interpretation of the 2nd Amendment.

I've never been too worried about folks who don't know how to use a weapon, they can be tought. The ones that worry me are the ones whom do not possess the faculties to handle their weapons responsibly. A person who doesn't respect a firearm is very dangerous person.

Case in point, a few years ago I went shooting pistols with a guy I worked with. When we emptied our mags, he put in a fresh one but didn't chamber a round. Then he pointed it at me. When I drew down on him and told him to put his pistol away, he wasn't too happy that I would have shot him if he wouldn't have. Now, when I go to shoot my rifle, I always have a pistol on my side, just in case I have to defend myself from stupid people.

For clarity, this guy was trained with his weapon and used it professionally.
