The new stuff he just loaded is all there is, I think Art said that was the ONLY load for now.

I just ordered some 85 gr barnes yesterday and it asked about tactical or commerical loads. I picked the tactical as I have an extreame upper on order.

Way to go Art.

Thanks for listening.

Is this the result of getting the 11.25/5R pressure test barrel up and running?

BTW Everybody else, the SSA web site is already updated with the TAC load option button on the 85TSX but the velocities shown are not updated to the new figures.

No, I haven't got the 5R test barrel to him yet, they should pull that one and the 14.5" test barrels this next week.

Is SAA going to post any commercial load ballistic charts? Only one they got is for a spec II tactical load. I'm considering going with a 100 yard zero with he easier to predict bullet drop out to 300 yards. Knowing how far commercial loads drop on either zero would be a good thing to know.

I am thinking getting either 110 grain in Pro Hunter or 110 Nosler Accubonds in tactical load...I was told they are safe in my Mini 6.8, with the better ballistics. Unless some one tells me it isn't very wise for general use shooting. I still see nothing wrong with regular loads. :D Just think more power maybe better, along with the flatter shooting ballistics. But it maybe better for reduced gun wear to stick with commercial loads. (feel Free to lambast me for this line of thought and correct me if you think its needed. )

Also does a regular SAMMI chamber have different ballistic results from a Spec II in the same sort of barrel?

Thanks Paulo! Now I see why 200 yard zeros are noted on the SSA one liner ballistic data they some times give for some of the ammo types listed on the SSA site. That's why I asked about full blown ballistic charts to help set zeros.
The 100 Yard zero is great if you have BDC Turrets or BDC Reticles. If not, the 200 yard zero is better out to 300 yards. I'm trying to put ogether a Chart with all of the Fragmentation/expansion range of various ammo including the drops, but I have to find the right format and I need to find some free time.

We had too many request for the Tach loads.

commercial load - 3,000 FPS from a 16"
Tach Loads ------ 3,125 FPS

Art - SSA
Tac loads ordered, ditto the question on those 100 accubonds.... push those faster and they would make more sense for hunters.
