I have been looking for a good quality scope for out to about 500 yards. I have used the MOA and Mil-Dot but I ran across these scopes and found them very interesting. Inches and feet with a pretty simple formula. The reticles seem a little busy but I guess you really don't know until you have used one. Has anyone had any experience with any of these models and with what specific redicle?
THANKS

John Boyette and Paulosantos and a few others have hands on experience with Horus. They are the real deal.

The Hawk is a bargain for the sportsman and AR enthusiast.

I've had the 1x4 Talon and the 3x12-50 Hawk. I 'm a big fan of their reticles. The Hawk would be great out to 500 yards and more. The reticle may seem busy, but it isn't. Just look through the reticle to the target and you won't even notice it.

Do you have a direct link? Which is best for tactical use?

Define what tactical is for your usage.

The Talon is built for close range CQB distances out to mid-range 300-500 or so yards.

The Hawk is built for all around use other than CQB. It's great for hunting and precision rifle use with longer range capabilities than the Talon.

I wouldn't base it on "tactical" use. I'd base it on the range you will be using it at like Art said. If you are shooting, 0-400 yard man-sized targets, the Talon is real nice. For shooting small groups, the Hawk is better.

I agree with Paulo. You pick by the amount of magnification you need. I woudl say of all the scope they offer the Talon is by fat the toughest. I have seen a number come back from Sand pit use that had taken a beating and were still working well. Other than that unless you do a lot of strictly target shooting for a 6.8, its hard to need more than 9-10x. I do have to admit I am a fan of high magnification but I do live in VA where mirage is not that big of an issue most of the year. Not fo the reasons most would think. I like it because it really magnifies any movement at all. Breathing grip heart beat etc.... It helps to get you to learn to gain control over it all. You then can really hold well for long range shooting.
