So I stopped by one of my local gun stores yesterday as I was nearby. I started to look around to see what they had in stock and if any new addtions.

Well I saw they had some hodgen powder and about 4 different boxes of unprimed horandy brass. Well to my surprise what a 50 round case of 6.8spc brass. Needless to say I was floored and checked the price, and was floored again $37.99 for 50 ouch. So is the hornady brass anygood?

Hornady brass is the small primer and all reports I have seen is it is good quality but not up to the standards of SSA brass. Additionally you can get the SSA brass at a better price than that.

It Ok much better than Rem not nearly as good as SSA. That is a good price at a retail shop. The MSRP for for 50 on Hrdy site is 44.80 not that they ever expect you to pay that they jsut want reatil going thru distributors.

you can buy 100 SSA brass for about that. the only problem with SSA and Hornady brass these days is they are small primer brass. i started shooting my Rem brass becuase i can get LR primers still. the small primers are going for my .223.

Using a mix og Hornady and SSA brass I experienced loose priner pockets w. Hornady way before the SSA. Huge difference w. SSA being far superior. Give Nancy at SSA a call, maybe she will pack a t-shirt with your brass.
